You know the old admonition, to not mention religion or politics at the dinner table?

Well, whoever coined that never ate a meal at my household growing up.

Sadly, no one has the luxury
of avoiding politics anymore.

 

However apocryphal it may be,
that Chinese curse –  “May you
live in interesting times” – resonates
these days with an alarming tone.

I’ve had an ambiguous relationship with politics over the years, probably because what we’ve been offered from the mainstream parties is often so lacking.

I proudly worked to elect and
re-elect our 44th U.S. President.

Since then, the GOP has gone off
the rails, but the Democrats seem
to have lost their way as well.
